Big hit- would suggest to anyone who likes science. Picked this up for my 9 and 12 year old sons for Christmas as we LOVE board games. Turned out my 10 year old daughter enjoyed it just as much.
The adults had a good time, too. You can use other markers to indicate where the goo would be. I purchased this game for my 8 year old daughter this Christmas. Like some other reviews stated, the goo doesn't work that well, but it is not a necessary part of the game. I can't wait to try more games that are similar to this one. We played it as a family, with Grandma and Grandpa, too, and we all LOVED it. I would definitely recommend this game to children age 8 and up.
The bright side is they did learn a few things maybe not good things but they did learn something from it. They played with it maybe 3 times in the past year. I bought this game for my 7 and 11yr. old sons.
I even learned some new things about science. Of all his gifts he wanted to play this game first. I bought this for my 13 yr old grandson. It's hard to find fun things that aren't video games, but this was definitely fun to play.
This led to an entire discussion on light, reflection, lasers, etc. The last time we played the lab experiment was to cover the remote control with foil and try to turn off the tv. My kids are 8 & 5 so these mini lessons are perfect for their age.
We have had a blast playing it. Something in the game interests them and they want to know more. My family loves this game.
I love that the game ends with a mini lab experiment. I can't think of a better way to cover science every week. We homeschool our sons and this game is fun and educational.
We've been able to use it as a starting point for a variety of topics.
